സദ്യ

സപ്തനക്ഷത്ര കാപ്പിക്കട. നിലയിലൊക്കെ നീലക്കണ്ണാടി. ഇരിക്കണമ്മക്കു ജൂലിയ റോബർട്ടിനെക്കാൾ ചന്തം. ഇലമുറിക്കാര്യസ്ഥനു ഷോൺ കോണറിയുടെ പൌഢി. അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിനാകെ ഒരു ഗാംഭീര്യം. ശ്വാസം വിടാൻ മൂന്നു തവണയും വായ തുറക്കാൻ പതിനൊന്നുതവണയും ആലോചിക്കണം.

സദ്യ പിരിഞ്ഞു വീട്ടിലെത്തി കളസവും കുന്തവുമെല്ലാം ഊരിക്കളഞ്ഞ് കൈലിമുണ്ടും ചുറ്റി നേരേ അടുക്കളയിൽ പോയി പരതി. ആകെയുള്ളത് അര ലോട്ടാ പുളിശ്ശേരി. അതും ചെമ്മീനച്ചാറും കൂട്ടി അരക്കലം ചോറു വിഴുങ്ങി. ബാക്കി വന്ന പുളിശ്ശേരഇയും എടുത്തങ്ങ് കുടിച്ചു. അപ്പോഴേ ഡിന്നറിന്റെ ക്ഷീണം തീർന്നുള്ളൂ.
വിശാലന്റെ ബർഗ്ഗറ് തീറ്റ കണ്ടപ്പോ ഓർത്തതാ..

ആ തൂശനിലയൊക്കെ വിരിച്ചിട്ട്, കുറച്ച് വെള്ളം തളിച്ച് അവനെ ഒന്ന് വെടിപ്പാക്കി, ഇടതുവശത്ത് താഴെയായി ഒരു സൊയമ്പൻ പൂവമ്പഴവും രണ്ട് ചക്കരവരട്ടിയും, കായയുപ്പേരിയും, മുകളിൽ നാരങ്ങാ-മാങ്ങാ അച്ചാറുകളും, പിന്നെ കൂട്ടുകറിയും, ഓലനും, കിച്ചടിയും, അവിയലും, തോരനും, പച്ചടിയും, അതുകഴിഞ്ഞ് നല്ല ചൂടുള്ള ചോറു വരുന്നവരെ ആ ഉപ്പേരിയൊക്കെ കടിച്ചു തിന്ന്, നല്ല ചൂടു ചോറു വരുമ്പോൾ അവനെ പരിപ്പും നെയ്യും പപ്പടവും ഒരു നുള്ള് ഉപ്പുമിട്ട് കൈകൊണ്ട് കുഴച്ച് ഉരുളയുരുളയാക്കി വായ്ക്കകത്തേക്കിട്ടിട്ട് ചൂണ്ടുവിരലുകൊണ്ട് ആ അച്ചാറിത്തിരി നക്കി, പുറകേവരുന്ന് സാമ്പാറിനുവേണ്ടി ചോറ് കുറച്ചുകൂടി മേടിച്ച്, സാമ്പാറും ചോറും കുഴച്ചടിച്ച്, തോരനും കൂട്ടി, എരിവു പോകാൻ പച്ചടിയുമടിച്ച്, കൂട്ടുകറിയൊന്നു നക്കി, പുറകേ വരുന്ന കാളനുവേണ്ടി അക്ഷമനായി കാത്തിരുന്ന്, കാളൻ വന്നുകഴിയുമ്പോൾ അവനും അവിയലും തോരനും പപ്പടവും കൂടി ചേർത്തടിച്ച്, അച്ചാറൊന്നുകൂടി നക്കി, കിച്ചടിയും കൂട്ടി, ശർക്കരയടയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പാൽ‌പ്പായസം ഒരു തവി മാത്രമാക്കി, അവനെ ഇലയിലോട്ടോഴിച്ചിട്ട് കൈകൊണ്ട് കുടിച്ച്, ചെകിടിപ്പു മാറ്റാൻ കുറച്ചച്ചാറും നക്കി, ചൂടുള്ള ശർക്കരയടപ്രഥമൻ കൈകൊണ്ടിങ്ങിനെ കോരിക്കുടിച്ച്, കുറച്ചുകൂടി അച്ചാറു നക്കി, ലാസ്റ്റ് കുറച്ച് ചോറ് വാങ്ങിച്ച്, നാരങ്ങായിലയും, കറിവേപ്പിലയും, കാന്താരിമുളകുമൊക്കെയിട്ട ആ സൊയമ്പൻ സംഭാരവും കൂട്ടി, പൂവൻ പഴവും കഴിച്ച് നന്നായൊന്ന് ഏമ്പക്കവും വിട്ട് എല മടക്കി വെള്ളം കുടിച്ച് ആ ഗ്ലാസ്സ് അതിനു മുകളിൽ വെച്ച് എഴുന്നേറ്റുപോകുമ്പോളുള്ള ആ സുഖം കിട്ടുമോടാ പുല്ലേ മക്ഡോണാൾഡേ നിന്റെ ബോർഗറിന്?

പുളിശ്ശേരിക്കും ചെമ്മീനച്ചാറിനും പുട്ടിനും ചട്ടിക്കുമൊക്കെ സ്കോപ്പുള്ളവർ നിങ്ങൾ തീറ്റ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ... ഇവിടെ സൂഷി, സൂഷി മാത്രം.. ഭാരത തട്ടുകടകൾ ധാരാളം, പക്ഷേ, നമ്മുടെ നാടൻ....ങൂഹൂം... ഒരു കേരളാഭവനുണ്ട് , മീറ്റർ ചായയൊക്കെ കിട്ടും, എന്നാൽ ഒരു വടക്കേന്ത്യൻ മണം. പാലക്കാടാലപ്പുഴക്കാരൊക്കെത്തന്നെ..

വിശാലാ, ലെവന്മാര് മീറ്റർ ചായയങ്ങ് മാർക്കറ്റ് ചെയ്തൂ ഇവിടെ. ചായ പറഞ്ഞുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ആൾക്കാരുടെ അടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടുപോയി മീറ്ററാക്കുന്ന പരിപാടി. ജപ്പാൻ‌കാരൊക്കെ അതുകണ്ട് അന്തംവിട്ടിങ്ങിനെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കും. എന്നാലും നാട്ടിലെ പരമുപിള്ളച്ചേട്ടൻ മീറ്ററാക്കുന്ന ആ ഒരു ഇതില്ല.. ഇവിടെ കുറച്ച് വിനയപൂർവ്വമുള്ള മീറ്ററാക്കൽ പോലെ... നല്ലപോലെ വീശിയടിക്കേണ്ടേ..

റിമോട്ട് പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്ക് കവറിലിട്ട്, പ്ലെയിനേന്നിറങ്ങിയാലും പെട്ടീന്ന് ടാഗ് അഴിക്കാണ്ട്, പെണ്ണുങ്ങൾ ട്രെയിനേലും നൈറ്റിയിട്ട്, ആണുങ്ങൾ പാരഗണ്ണുമിട്ട് വെള്ളത്തോർത്തുകൊണ്ട് തലേക്കെട്ടും കെട്ടി (പണ്ട് ഗുജറാത്തിൽ ഭൂകമ്പമുണ്ടായപ്പോൾ മലയാളി മലയാളിയെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത് തലേക്കെട്ട് കണ്ടാന്ന് വായിച്ചിരുന്നു).

ഒരു സത്യം പറഞ്ഞോട്ടെ... ഈ പറഞ്ഞ ബർഗറും പിസ്സായും ഒക്കെ ആസ്വദിച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്നവനാണീയൊള്ളോൻ... (രേഷമ ചേച്ചി ഒരു കമന്റിൽ എഴുതിയതു പോലെ, ‘വെടിയുണ്ടകൾ വരുന്നുണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു, മാറിക്കളയാം’) :-)

എന്നാലും ഒരു പുളിശ്ശേരി ഒക്കെ ഒഴിച്ചു കുഴച്ചു, പപ്പടം പൊടിച്ചു ചേർത്ത്‌, കടുകുമാങ്ങാ അച്ചാറ് ഒക്കെ തൊട്ടുനക്കി, പോത്തിറച്ചി ഉലത്തിയതും കൂട്ടി ചോറുണ്ണുന്നതിന്റെ സ്വാദും ഒന്നു വേറെ തന്നെയാണേ...

വക്കാരീ, സദ്യാവർണ്ണന അത്യുഗ്രൻ... നിലത്തിരുന്നുണ്ട ഒരുപാട്‌ സദ്യകളുടെ മധുരിക്കുന്ന ഓർമ്മകൾ ഉണർത്തി. നന്ദി.
